OLYMPIC FASHION 2012
With the Olympics now underway, there was another reason for me to watch the Opening Ceremony: The Designer Team Kits! Many famous & talented Fashion Designers have snatched up the opportunity to design some of the world's best Olympic Team Kits. Were they Successful? What did you think?
Keep
your eyes on the French equestrian team. They will showcase the French
luxury brand, Hermès. With its 200-year history specialising in
everything equestrian, this has to be the perfect collaboration of style
and substance.
Italian Designer Salvatore Ferragamo dressed the tiny Italian State, Republic of San Marino.
Fashion Powerhouse, Prada will also be making an appearance, designing for the Italian Olympic sailing team.
First out of the ranks was Stella McCartney (for Adidas) designing the kit for the host nation, Team Great Britain.
Also getting a piece of Olympic action is Ralph Lauren for Team USA. Fans can go online to purchase copies of some pieces.
