Spring is the perfect time to bring out the braids. New York's Spring Fashion Week has seen the return of the braid to catwalks with exciting new season varieties. Styles for spring include; Fishtail braids that are loose and messy, Braids draped over one shoulder, Subtle strands of braids in wavy hair, Sleek sexy middle part with hair braided to the back.

Want to create the beautiful Tory Burch inspired Fishtail Braid at home? Here's how!
1. Part your hair down the centre and pull hair to one side
2. Secure in a ponytail on one side with a hairband that you don't mind cutting
3. Start a fishtail braid by holding the right section with your right
hand. Then, using your left hand, pick up a a small chunk of
hair from the outside of the left section and cross it over to the
inside of the right section.
4. Repeat on the other side: Hold the left section in your left hand. Use your right hand to pick up a small chunk of hair from the outer right section and cross it over to the inside of the left section.
5. Continue picking up small sections and crossing them over until you reach the ends of your hair.

6. Secure your style with a clear plastic elastic band.
7. To give your braid the messy look, start to carefully loosen bits of hair from the braid.
8. Cut the top elastic and fluff braid a bit more. Secure any fly aways with bobby pins
9. Spritz with a bit of hairspray and you're done :)
