The other men in my life...

I thought I'd start your Tuesday with a little bit of Hollywood eye candy. I am forever seeing friends posting pics of their favourite movie stars on Instagram and Facebook. So here's my list of fav's

Ryan Gosling!
Ryan is a Canandian born actor and musician who began his career as a child star on Disney Channel's Mickey Mouse Club - how cute. He has appeared in other family programs including: Are you afraid of the dark? Goosebumps, Breaker High and Young Hercules. He had a leading role in the Notebook where he won four Teen Choice movie awards and an MTV Movie Award. He is also know for his work in Crazy Stupid Love (one of my favs), Drive (this one is a bit full on!) and the Ides of March.

My hubby and I were looking through some images from my childhood and he reckons that I have always had Gosling in my sights haha - this photo was taken at a school fun run. He thinks that this is a splitting image of a young Gosling.... I bet my old neighbour would be happy to be mistaken for such an amazing actor.

Here is an actual image of Gosling from is childhood days

Channing Tatum
After watching The Vow,  I have a new found appreciation for Channing Tatum. What a babe!
Channing is an American actor, film producer, dancer and former model who is best know for his roles in Step Up, G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra, Dear John, The Vow, 21 Jump Street and Magic Mike.

Tom Hardy
Tom Hardy is an English actor and screenwriter. Some of Hardy's most notable films include; Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, This Means War (this movie was when I became a fond fan), Inception and most recently The Dark Knight Rises where is bulked up and played the arch-villain Bane.

I hope you ladies enjoyed that! Who is your fav hollywood heartthrob?

OLYMPIC TEAM FASHION 2012

OLYMPIC FASHION 2012

With the Olympics now underway, there was another reason for me to watch the Opening Ceremony: The Designer Team Kits! Many famous & talented Fashion Designers have snatched up the opportunity to design some of the world's best Olympic Team Kits. Were they Successful? What did you think?

Keep your eyes on the French equestrian team. They will showcase the French luxury brand, Hermès. With its 200-year history specialising in everything equestrian, this has to be the perfect collaboration of style and substance.

Italian Designer Salvatore Ferragamo dressed the tiny Italian State, Republic of San Marino.

Fashion Powerhouse, Prada will also be making an appearance, designing for the Italian Olympic sailing team.

First out of the ranks was Stella McCartney (for Adidas) designing the kit for the host nation, Team Great Britain.

Also getting a piece of Olympic action is Ralph Lauren for Team USA. Fans can go online to purchase copies of some pieces.

Let's Go NUDE

Nude. au naturel, bare, bare-skinned, exposed, in one's skin, raw, stark, stripped,
wearing only a smile, without a stitch.

Let's go nude in 2012.
I'm talking about lips of course.

I absolutely am loving this trend. With winter still upon us there is really no better time to try, as this particular make up trend looks even better on fair skin! (win! *pumps fist in the air*)
Celebrities and run way models alike are going 'seriously nude' with this statement trend.

The great thing about going a nude tone with your lips is that you can really emphasise and accentuate your eyes with dramatic and bold makeup. Whether it's smokey eyes or a colour pop it's sure to be a winner.

Check out these hot looks.

So how do you go nude?
1. Apply concealer over lips to hide their natural tone
2. Apply a creamy nude lip color like Stefan Professional Vivid Lips Lipstick in Nudie $24.95 to prevent a chapped, washed-out effect.

If you don't like to wear lipstick or you want it a bit more casual with a bit of flirty shine, instead of lipstick, you could try a nude or light pink shade of lipgloss on top of the concealer.
Try Stefan Professional Lustre Lips in Nude $24.95

Let the nudity begin!

Camping in style!

Splendour weekend is here! However, I am unfortunately sick as a dog and will probably bring my own fold out chair and hang at the back, rocking earplugs to subside my headache (I am aware I just became 55).

Despite my illness and the fact that I am camping, it does not mean I am not allowed to miss showers and dress like a bum. Throughout my time in the Splendour campsite, I have seen and smelt some shockers. Some people think camping is an excuse to let all social and hygene norms go out the window - this is not the case as you are able to camp in style!

In regards to fashion - Plan your outfits before you leave for your adventure.
  1. Think about how many days you will be there for and plan as many outfits.
  2. Check the weather! There is nothing worse then packing for a summery day and arriving to rain and gail force winds.
  3. No matter what, bring gumboots to save yourself ruining your favourite Converse Hightops.
Check out these stylish campers....

Also bring all your normal toiletries and towel. There are always shower facilities at campsites, so take the time to use them. Yes I know they get disgusting, but you can always wear thongs in the shower!

I should really send this link to all the lazy boys I am camping with...

Send me some of your camping stories!

Have a great weekend

glovetastic

This winter, gloves are a must! It is important to stay warm during the cold months and one of the best ways to do this is with a great pair of gloves. You can wear them everywhere and anywhere and they are great for protecting your delicate hands from the cold winter breeze.  We loose most of our heat out of our head or through our hands so they are good to keep the blood flowing to your fingers.

Why not add a burst of colour to your outfit with a bright pair of gloves or go for longer or darker coloured gloves to add sophistication.

Check out these amazing gloves

When it comes to choosing the right accessories for your man, the two basic items are gloves and a stylish watch. Why not deck your man out in a styling outfit like these below.
